I took this photo at my "vacations" at Janow Lubelski where live my sweet girlfriend.
This is monument build to save memory about the biggest partisans battle of the Second World War. This place is called Porytowe Wzgórza. The battle was between 3-4 thousands of polish partisans and 30-40 thousands of german soldiers, policemans, heavy artillery and Luftwaffe (many sources = many numbers).
The battle was at 14.06.1944 and ended with success for polish "soldiers" after one, long, day of hard fights.
